Today we’re joined by Sahar Swidan, PharmD, RPh, to discuss using supplements, medical marijuana, and cannabinoids for inflammation and pain management. She talks about the THC-CBD entourage effect, curcumin, boswellia and what the literature now tells us.
Dr. Swidan obtained her doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of Michigan, where she completed a 3 year bio-pharmaceutics research fellowship.
She is the president and CEO of pharmacy Solutions in Ann Arbor, MI, a unique, personal and educational specialty pharmacy. She is a clinical associate professor of pharmacy at the University of Michigan, College of Pharmacy, and an adjunct professor, Department of Clinical Research and Leadership, at the GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
Dr. Swidan is also an internationally known speaker in the areas of pain management and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), and the author of several books, articles, and patient education materials in the area of pain management and functional medicine.
