The question is that a person always has desires that he should have a big house, big car, everything should be good, and there should always be more. A person cannot get rid of their desires. Keeping desires is not a bad thing, and also, a person cannot be without desires. It is not possible that a person would not have a single desire. The problem is not that a person has desires; the problem is that to fulfill your desires, what all you can do. What price are you ready to pay to fulfill your desires. One thing is that you go blind to your desires. For example, if you have a gold necklace and you desired to have that necklace, you finally got it. But when you went to a party and you saw someone else wearing a necklace made of diamonds. At that very moment, you felt that your necklace was inferior to the other person’s, and you become sad. What is the point of this? What you achieved by so much effort, you got it, but before you could enjoy it, you became sad. Listen to this insightful discourse by Om Swami to find out more.
