The question is that sometimes people ask you as to what you are going to do, what are you career plans or where are you heading to? Should we tell them the truth because very frequently it happens that if we tell them the truth, that work does not happen. Vivekananda used to say a very nice thing that the resolution of something is like a seed. When we plant a seed, we cover it with soil. If we keep digging the soil to check if the seed has sprouted or not, that seed will never sprout.
If you take a resolution particularly if the resolution is to achieve something, there is a difference between the two. Why do people feel unhappy? We take a vow to acquire something whereas we should take the resolution to do something. We can’t take the vow for the result.
