The question from the audience is that why karma transcends or travels across life times? Nature is not concerned with one lifetime or many lifetimes. It sees it as changing places. Nothing new is actually happening. It is just one cloth and then another cloth, same person inside. The real essence in you so called soul never dies. So Krishna says, “ Tell me what is your real dilemma? What is your confusion? Who is killing and who is dying? None of all this is actually happening. It is one big illusion.” Infact, if Nature did not take karma across lifetimes, this world would have ceased to exist by now. People would have destroyed this planet by now.
If you have accumulated wealth in one bank account, you can simply transfer it to next. You can’t transfer what you haven’t accumulated, what you haven’t earned. That is why karma travels across lifetimes. There is a story in Mahabharata when Yudhishtra is being held by celestial being Yaksha. The Yaksha says,” What do you think is the most fascinating, peculiar thing about this world?”
