It was Dan J's 50th birthday on 16th November and I wanted to celebrate that by doing a one off Huddle Hot Mix with some of the records we played over our five years of playing in warehouses, clubs and pubs across Sheffield.
I've spent the last few months going back over the 90 or so radio shows, podcasts and guest mixes as well as wracking my rum addled brain for some of the beautiful moments we had.
Been asked by a few people for "huddle" mixes over the past few years but it's always felt a bit mawkish and not for me, it being his 50th feels like the perfect time to celebrate this tiny part of his wonderful inimitable life.
This mix is specific to Huddle, from his Jester days to scratching with Andy H and playing at Act Like Ya Know, Scuba, Dont Walk Boogie, Kabal and loads more, up to his Strobe Life days with Solid, itd be impossible to cover all the great eras Dan had DJ wise. Will leave those to others who'd know better.
