On sunday Chris kicked off our series in Mark, chapter 1 looking at what it means to 'follow Jesus' and 'fish for people'.
As we draw back together again regularly, in groups and on Sundays, we felt that it was fitting to rekindle and ignite our love for Jesus. He is the head of this church, and we want to be a people who follow him, trust him, and are madly in love with him. Sundays are going to be an exciting time to remind ourselves about Jesus' mission to ‘proclaim the Good News of God’.
In the first verse, Mark outlines his vision for his gospel – “The beginning of the Good News about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God”. This book is fast paced, Jesus focused, drawing us into God’s plans to see the Gospel go forth throughout the nations.
