Chris Kimbangi continued our series, A Blueprint For Life, from the book of Genesis in the Bible, by talking about 'rest'.
This 7th day of God's creation was Adam's first day, and on his first full day all the work was done, all the fruit was ripe, all the seeds where planted. All Adam could do was enjoy his first full day on this planet enjoying Gods creation and God's presence. Rest is not just important for us to do and understand, but when we take rest we echo the message of the gospel - that full rest and peace is not found in our hard work and striving, but in God's unmerited, undeserved, unearned, gracious free gift.
