We were listening to Seals and Crofts perform "Ruby Jean and Billie Lee" on YouTube and noticed that a more recent performer had also recorded the song. Anne Legras, a French recording artist does a wonderful rendition of the Seals and Crofts song ( http://youtu.be/gzjJVc8Wp8Y ).
We listened to more of Anne's work on YouTube and on her website that is filled with music she has written and music that has been recorded by other artists. We really enjoy her artistic sense with selecting songs from other artists that are as unique as the music she composes herself.
Severely smitten, we began writing the lyrics for a new genre that we haven't composed in before. The Song Bird Vocal Series, dedicated to Anne Legras, is our first foray into the Pop music genre.

Have you thought about living in New Orléans?
Learning French Creole, for you, would be easy.
The Creole Cooking found in that region is
beyond compare. Soft Shelled Crab and Crayfish Tails
are always on the menu there. You might have
heard about the music found in the French Quarter
and the annual Mardi Gras celebration.
I visited New Orléans without you once
so long ago. Now, I dream of taking you
when my footsteps again retrace that path.
I promise to take you to Tipitina’s Club
as often as you might like. We will walk
Hand in hand along Bourbon Street to see
the carnival atmosphere it is so famous for.

delà de toute comparaison. Crabes à Carapace Molle et les Queues Crayfish
sont toujours au menu il. Vous pourriez avoir
entendu parler de la musique dans Le Quartier Français
