"Shine" is an optimistic tune and really positive and hopeful, and that actually sums up the song’s meaning. We need to embrace who we are and let our inner beauty shine. A lot of us end up prioritising looking good on the outside and it actually kills us because we’re doing it for outside approval and not for ourselves. I’ve personally had a lot of insecurity with how I looked on the outside, to the point where I second-guessed everything someone said. But now I realise now that none of that matters. And I’ve learned to embrace the positive qualities I do have. We’d all be so much happier if we recognised how awesome we really are!
