Fresh off his latest release on Haven Trax, he already has a new EP lined up. Nuno Dos Santos may be a house producer but he certainly isn't a one-trick-pony. On his new EP Hidden Beaumise, the Utrecht-based artist casually introduces speed garage elements. He incorporates these angular West London rhythms into the title track, which ultimately develops into a beautiful and atmospheric house floater. ‘It is an ode to a very special person in my life,’ Dos Santos says about Hidden Beaumise.
The B-side, Dual Code, is melancholic in a different way. Deliciously fluid house with effective Detroit strings and delicate pads from the Roland D50, a synthesiser that has been around for almost 50 years. If this record was indeed made for someone special, it very likely hit the right spot.
