Goliath remains one of the better known characters of the Old Testament. In part this must be because he generally makes an appearance in Children’s bibles, a little odd considering David chops his head off in the last scene. And NRL commentators still refer to the Goliath when a halfback happens to axe a prop. In this talk Dr Leigh Trevaskis revisits the story with an eye to the implications this story has for us today.
