This week we will be talking about some news about the hashtag "This is not consent" and explaining what consent looks like in everyday situations. Women all over the world are sharing pictures of themselves in their underwear on social media with the hashtag #ThisIsNotConsent to protest the release of a 27-year-old Irish man who was accused of raping a teenage girl. The man accused of the misconduct suggested that his interaction with the young lady was consensual because she was dressed in a provocative way. He said and I quote, “You have to look at the way she was dressed. She was wearing a thong with a lace front.” (Her underwear was displayed as evidence during the trial.
