A Million Flowers
Those were our children, this is our land,
These are the freedoms, they cant stand,
We were just singing innocent songs,
Never did evil, never did wrong,
Now we see the madness stare us in the eye,
Just like all the other times before,
We dont feel human, we dont feel love,
We just feel anger, we just feel numb,

so for now we lay a million flowers,
for now we shed a million tears
And know this precious life of ours,
Is never to be lived in fear,

Will it get easier if we stand,
as a nation, hand in hand?
Though we feel anger, fill our veins,
We can get on in life, in spite of the pain,
How’d we stop the trembling of a mothers hands?
How’d you let her know she’s not alone?
We just be human, we just be love,
We just be peaceful, we just be us,

And so we lay a million flowers
And so we shed a million tears,
And know this precious life of ours,
Is never to be lived in fear,

For now we lay a million flowers,
For now we shed a million tears
But know this precious life of ours,
Is never to be lived in fear,
