Sunday Sermon- June 20, 2021. Mark 9:14-29
Todays passage is not a story of unflinching faith, but of struggling faith. Which is to say, real faith. This story in Mark—if it says one thing—it says believing is hard. In this passage comes the phrase, I believe, help my unbelief. I don’t think any sentence in all of scripture fully captures the dilemma of the human situation like this one. The dilemma of life lived in the valley.
