Interview with Sadhu Sensi

➢ I hope you agree to answer a few random and fun questions to share with our listeners?

• For sure!! Haha

➢ To start you off tell us what song puts you in a good mood when you wake up in the morning?

• Marvin Gaye - Sexual Healing ;)

➢ What is the meaning behind your artist name Sadhu Sensi?

• Many years ago I used to play keyboards in a reggae band. I was given the stage name Sergeant Sensi due to the copious amounts of cannabis I used to grow and freely distribute at shows. When I started producing my own music and became interested in eastern spirituality I changed the name to Sadhu (Indian holy man) Sensi.

➢ Now should you ever, but let’s hope not, be stuck on an island, which music album would you bring with you and why?

• Probably something from Krishna Das so I could sing and chant along and be happy :)

➢ 2020 has been a difficult year for the music scene, how has it changed within your hometown and what do you think will be different in the future?

• Well it's certainly shut down what little scene we had here. I think the future will be smaller events, which not necessarily a bad thing because the people there would really appreciate the music and not take it for granted.

➢ Once things have returned to a certain normality, which festival would you want to go to first? (It could be a club if you got no festival in mind)

• Would love to return to Boom festival (Portugal) and play there again as it was one of the best experiences of my life. Also in South Africa really looking forward to Spirit Fest, Afrikaburn, and Retreat Yourself.. some of my favorite here.

➢ Lastly, regarding this mix you have done for us, can you tell us a little bit of your thought process behind choosing the tracks you chose?

• Well the basic idea was to gather all my latest tracks and remixes and work them into a set moving from slowest to fastest BPM
