➢To start you off tell us what song puts you in a good mood when you wake up in the morning?
This morning I was listening to «Stretch – Why Did you Do it?» while spilling coffee all over the floor….
➢Tell us two or three must know facts about your “Die Empathie” events that you run in Zurich?
«Die Empathie» started back then in 2015 with Phuong. Instead of doing decoration, we create worlds. We tell a story – for one time only. Then close the book and let the memory last forever. Last time we took about 15 wrecked cars and were dancing in to the sunset on the roofs of them.
➢You have played with a number of excellent artists, tell us who blew your mind the most?
To blow my mind, it’s rarely the artists itself that causes that. It’s a merge between music, people, occasion and most important the unexpected.
➢Since the pandemic it has been difficult time for the music scene, how has it changed within Zurich and what do you think will be different when things return to a certain “normality”?
I have to say, that I was playing my fingers to the bone in 2020. Switzerland was on of the only countries where you could have raves up to 300 ppl. This stopped in September and I went to Ibiza to take a timeout. If someone told me, that I will go once to Ibiza to take a rest from clubbing, I would have him/her delivered to the madhouse😂
Actually I try not to worry about the «return of normality» as I can not change it. I accept the current situation and try to make the best out of it. Nevertheless I am looking forward to transmit my feelings through music in front of people and most importantly feel the warmth of hugs.
➢Lastly, regarding this mix you have done for us, can you tell us a little bit of your thought process behind choosing the tracks you chose?
The choice of my tracks happens mostly spontaneous depending on my mood of the day. If I try to prepare the set a week earlier, I would rip it of completely the next day as I am not happy with it. I can’t listen to pumping techno when I am all alone at home. Never had. Never will. So if possible, make you’re self comfortable, if possible try to catch a sunray or two and get lost in beautiful memories – It was at least my mood while recording.
