This Week on Talk World Radio we're talking about a new book called Abolishing the Military: Arguments and Alternatives, with two of the three authors, joining us from New Zealand, it being the New Zealand military in particular that they'd like to abolish. With us is Joseph Llewellyn who completed his PhD at the National Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Otago. He completed a Master of Arts and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Peace and Conflict Studies at the National Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies. Also with us is Richard Jackson who holds the Leading Thinkers Chair in Peace Studies at the University of Otago. He is the author or editor of fifteen books and more than a hundred articles and book chapters on pacifism and nonviolence, conflict resolution, war and terrorism.
