In 2012 I began to use contexts of Astrophysics in my music. During that time I wrote "Alpha Centauri" for Orchestra, based on radiofrequency Spectrums of the Nasa and the Esa (for example: http://www.esa.int/Our_Activities/Space_Science/Cassini-Huygens/Sounds_of_an_alien_world). When you have Radio Frequency Spectrums, you can synthesize them, by the use of modern Programming-Software like Open Music and CSound. I transfered in "Alpha Centauri", some Spectrums of the Cassiny Huygens Mission directly to Music Notation. In "Orbit" I did the Opposit: I made a synthesis of Sounds of the Planets (Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Venus, Pluto, Saturn, ...) which are basically Radiofrequency Spectrums. Than I could filter out from the Frequencies in Relationship with time, some "chords". The "chords" are normally in another register (very high or too low) and transposed them to the register of regular Music Instruments. Than I did "Music" with it, with CSound. Belower you can hear a version of the piece with just Electronics. In that Version, I added a percussion player. I analysed the Spectrum with Audiosculpt of the Percussion Voice and tried to find similar "Sounds" in the Percussion. This version was premiered in Zepernick, by Berlin in September of 2014.
