Written for Ensemble Recherche, premiered at Stuttgart Music Conservatoire in Summer 2014. "Paysage Urbain" was inspired by the Sounds of the big Cities. I was useing Fieldrecordings and analysed them and their harmonic Structure. The Fieldrecordings were done at Airports, Railway - Stations, Malls, the Metro, etc. I analysed the harmonic Structures and used Models and Objects that I found in Master - Pieces of Spectral Music, like Murail, Grisey, Haas, etc. I used so called "additive Musical Grammar" in Open Music, a technic that is related to the technics of Philippe Manoury. The mood is inspired by some great Works by Murail, "Winter Fragments" and "Le Lac"... It was the first time I wrote a piece completely with the IRCAM Software Open Music. There are some scratchy "noisy" Sounds, that belong to another World, Bedrossian, Cendo or even Lachenmann. The Ensemble is the brilliant German Ensemble "Recherche".
