Description

Marsy's Law is an amendment to the state constitution that implements both existing and new processes in the criminal justice system as constitutional rights for people who identify as victims of crime. The proposal has the potential to significantly undermine the rights of people who are accused of crimes, as judges will have to weigh constitutional rights against each other.

Brad Winnick, chief public defender in Dauphin County and the president of the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and ACLU-PA's Elizabeth Randol joined the podcast to talk about the problems with Marsy's Law.
