For any listeners with a vinyl record collection of any significance, the likelihood is that this guy’s name is on a sizable percentage of them. Brian Griffin has been one of the world’s leading photographers for over six decades and has been the snapper behind some of the most iconic album covers ever created. Blessed with a vivid, photographic memory he shares the story of growing up in a Peaky-Blinders-esque Birmingham and the astonishing journey that eventually led him to success. He also recounts amazing behind-the-scenes anecdotes of working with Joe Jackson, Iggy Pop, Graham Parker and Paul McCartney; extols the importance of harnessing “thought patterns”; and recognizing and seizing opportunities when they are presented. Brian has pledged to himself to never stop working and he recently launched his latest exhibition/book – SPUD – a homage to the battlefields of WWI.
