The most famous and hardest working of all German/Turkish Creative Directors joins the pod today to tell his tale. From his early years growing up as the middle child of Yüksel Pazarkaya, one of the leading lights of modern-day Turkish literature; through the identification of, and tutelage under, the person he felt to be the ideal mentor at college - Professor Heinz Edelmann - (animator of The Beatles’ Yellow Submarine); and his eventual early tenure at Germany’s leading creative ad agency - Jung von Matt; Toygar’s commitment, single-mindedness, positivity and determination are what has set him apart at every stage of his life. Here, he shares a raft of wisdom and valuable advice for anybody striving for success in creative endeavours.
With over 600 awards to his name, Toygar went on to spend many years working at BBDO in both Germany and New York. Today he is Chief Creative Director of The Americas with Havas.
