Seems like just the other day I was working on my Miami showcase mix for 2015. Time flies when you're busy, and frankly, loving what you're doing. Making this studio mix each year has not only become a bit of a tradition for me, but it's also become a benchmark for me, as it's a crossroads of stuff that I still like last year, stuff that is new that I like, and stuff that I've always liked. I tend to spend a lot more time on this mix than any other mix I put together over the course of the year, and it seems to sort of set the musical pace and direction of at least my next 4 months.
Pretty happy with the final product here, as it features so many amazing tunes that I like, some handiwork of my own (with a forthcoming release), and a style of mixing and flow that I've come to expect from myself. Starts from deeper and groovy, to some chugging mid tempo grooves, and peaks with a rowdy number or two before floating back down to a more groovy tempo to close out the set. Perfect for listening to poolside, beachside, in the car with the windows down, in preparation of warmer weather and summertime, or just simply in preparation for the super-eventful week of music in Miami that awaits us yet again this year.
