“It’s not that guys don’t want to talk, it’s just that they don’t necessarily know how to”.

Ollie Aplin never thought he’d be a guy to keep a journal let alone build a brand to help other men.

Having experienced the trauma of his mum committing suicide, he buried it.

2 years later he had a mental breakdown which led him into therapy. Ollie struggled to talk about the feelings he’d locked deep within himself so his therapist recommended journaling as a way of getting his thoughts and feelings out so he could start to deal with them.

As a designer and a creative person Ollie became aware of other men’s challenges to start to journal and had a light bulb moment to develop his own product to help with this.

He looked at what worked for him and what would help him continue to Journal and following a successful crowdfunding appeal, he launched the Mind Journal.

The journal guides you through asking questions and focusses on the emotional response to the questions you are being asked.

According to Ollie, Construction is one of the most important industries that needs the most support and no one has ever reached out from the industry to find out more about the Mind Journal…….. until now.
