Visitor numbers were up at the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park and the Curecanti Recreation Areas this past year.
Sandy Snell-Dobert with the Parks Service says that last year was the National Park Service's 100th anniversary, and that extra marketing muscle was put into getting people into parks.
She also says that people seem to want to get out and explore their public lands more and more.
