Bertie is a DJ, Producer, Event Curator and Radio Host based in Naarm/melbourne, Australia, known for her energetic mix of disco movers, house thumpers, and genre blenders across the wider spectrum of dance music. Her musical journeys are exactly that; a guided exploration from start to finish. A movement-led fusion of percussive beats, acidic motifs, euphoric highlights, groovy undertakings and when the mood is right, something a little deeper and darker. The result us a synergistically uplifting experience that will get you up and moving and leave you wanting more.
It's this cultivated sound that has seen her perform across Naarm and be invited to some of Australia’s biggest festivals including Strawberry Fields, Pitch Music & Arts, Sugar Mountain, Gaytimes and Beyond the Valley, as well as supporting the likes of CC:DISCO, Denis Sulta, Bradley Zero, Kornél Kovács, Leon Vynehall, DJ Koze and Patrick Holland.
Outside of performing she shares her ever-expanding collection of laid back groovers via her show ‘Cup of Bertea’ on Skylab Radio as well as regularly appearing on Hope St Radio. In 2022 she co-founded Club Aqueous, a queer-run event series prioritising artists who are underrepresented in the scene. And in 2022 she released her debut track Pillow Queen on Phenomena Records with an EP set for release in 2023.
