This past week, we had a front-row seat to the destructive power of anger. It was more than buildings and property, though; we saw anger destroy trust. We watched anger give birth to fear, division, mistrust of our leaders, and each other. That's just how powerful anger is.
But there's still so much that anger cannot do. James tells us, "the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God" (James 1:20). If you have chosen to follow Jesus and welcomed his reign into your life, you've chosen a different path than anger.
And it's a path with better promises.
