Jimi Hendrix literally taught me how to play music. Before I could get down on the guitar I heard 'Red House' and that was it, I had never heard anything so beautiful ever. Some thirty five years have past since that song came into my life and I can not explain how important he has been to my development as a musician. I really tried to listen to what he was laying on me and I felt a connection to him that I had never had in my life. I have maintained that connection with out pause and consider every song I do from the ears of Jimi, as if he could help me to understand what the mix wanted to be. Its not just guitar playing, it's arrangement and production that have rarely been bested when you look at the amazing body of work he recorded in the short time he had= he gave everything, and imagining a world without him - well I would have never been writing this now.
So this is not a Jimi Hendrix composition, but I can say with honesty that he still lives through our dedication to his work, and I offer this as tribute and thanks to James Marshall Herdricks, who died 29 days before my birth, and who gave us so much in so little time.

This artwork I painted in preparation to record this song that I wrote in dedication to Jimi Herdrix.
