This song is a work in progress, have a collaborator working on this, but I just wanted to get it out before Christmas. This is a wonderful time for me personally. I have two children and have been blessed with a large family that get along with love for the most part. I know this is a gift. I have spent many a Christmas alone and away and I can say my life is always good at Christmas. I feel this feeling of gratitude all year round, I struggle to keep my compassion in check but we all have low points. The news and all the noise can overwhelm us with stress, but just letting love guide you is extremely important even if its just being polite and working on the idea that we are all the same people. Right now I can't stop thinking about the impact of the wars in the middle east and how we can make space for these people in such dire need. So since I don't have a whole lot of money I write songs with messages of love and compassion, it may have no effect but it is what I am best at and with all the hype about money and fear and glamour in music I think we need to find a balance with a humble attempt to make the world better, not make ourselves more famous or wealthy.
So Many Voices
I can do
what I need to do
tell me can you do the same?
it's so damn easy for this world
to be cruel
I think we need a
brighter day
So may voices
are crying out
we must not turn our heads away
So may voices
are crying out
we must not turn our heads away
Open your heart
I know it's easier to do then say
It hard to find
the light in this
dark dark world
I think we need a brighter day
