On this week’s episode of Nina’s Got Good News, host Nina B. Clarke is joined by her Good News VIP Guest of the Week, Charlie Capalbo! Charlie is a student at Fairfield University, and a two-time cancer survivor.
Nina and Charlie talk about his two bouts with cancer; the first was non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in 2017, and the second was leukemia in 2018. They talk about his time being isolated during his cancer treatments, and that experience is helping him and his family during COVID-19.
They talk about the experience of getting a bone marrow transplant from his brother, the importance of staying positive, Charlie’s plans for the future and hopes to return to playing hockey and more!
