Description

Have you ever wondered how much do our thoughts, our emotions affect how we feel?

Does what we think affect our physical health?

As explained by Sue Langley (keynote speaker, global consultant and positive leadership expert) Langley Group CEO provides an example in the interview that many of us can relate too; when you are feeling tired after a long day at work, feeling stressed, exhaused lacking self awareness you may be more inclined to be attracted to eating unhealthy foods, drink alcohol and smoke which in the long term can negatively impact our physical health.
On the other hand, if you have a high EQ and experience the same tiring day at work with strong self awareness you may be better able to perceive, regulate and manage your emotions more effectively. Operating from a higher self awareness despite how you are physicaily feeling you will still after a long day at work choose to eat healthy foods despite what you are craving.

There is alot of talk about the importance of emotional intelligence (EQ) in assisting to achieve success in business and in leadership positions. But does our emotional intelligence (EQ) affect our health?

I spoke with Sue Langley who is a Master Trainer of MSCEIT (an emotional intelligence ability based assessment) to help us answer this key question - Does our EQ affect our Health? Sue defines, "emotional intelligence as simply the intelligent way of using our emotions''.

Sue also speaks about the latest clinical research in EQ that links EQ to our gut microbiome? So fascinating!
