Description

Guggenheim curator Daniel Robbins discusses the life and work of Albert Gleizes in the third lecture from a series titled “Cubism and Abstract Art.” Robbins discusses how Gleizes, along with Robert Delaunay and Henri Le Fauconnier, brought Cubism to the attention of the greater public by exhibiting their work in public salons. He also illustrates Gleizes’s work beyond his Cubist period. This event took place on March 15, 1962.
