The MM Ulyate Pickup is the newest offering from Ulyate Pickups. The Ulyate MM pickup is literally 2 pickups in one, one coil has 4 large magnets and the other coil mimics a Jazz pickup with 8 smaller magnets, which you can set up with separate volume controls for each, front and back, coil like on this demo. This pickup will drop right into a standard Music Man pickup cavity. Also available in 5 string versions.
I used an Indonesian made Sterling by Music Man SUB 4 string bass, with no on-board preamp and completely passive, wired vol/vol/tone, recorded straight into my A-Designs Ventura's DI.
