This lecture discusses key ideas from the ancient Stoic philosopher Epictetus's work, the Discourses. Specifically it examines his discussion of the compatibility between Confidence and Caution - and also Care/Concern. Caution should be directed towards those things that are indeed under our control. Confidence should be displayed towards those things that are not under our control.
