Hillary Clinton could select a running mate as early as today (7/22/16). At the top of the shortlist are reportedly Virginia Senator Tim Kaine and Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack. Other contenders include first-term New Jersey Senator Cory Booker (former Newark mayor), Housing Secretary Julián Castro, Labor Secretary Thomas Perez, and Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren. I spoke with Purdue University Political Science Professor Nadia Brown about Clinton's selection.
