Reelow has had us wanting to lock him in a Fresh Kicks mix ever since DJ Mag saw him spin at Vista Club in Ibiza last summer alonsgside Dennis Cruz.
The trippy style of tech the Hungary-born, Barcelona-based DJ/producer dropped there, laced with churning basslines and swinging rhythms, had us hooked from the outset. And through releases on Deeperfect Records, Snatch!, Cuartero’s Sanity and Roush since he’s continued to go from strength to strength.
Real name Károlyi Renat, Reelow also hit Solid Grooves records in January with his ‘Thinking of You’ EP – a pair of percussive workouts that sound like they should do some real damage on the White Isle this summer.
For His Fresh Kicks mix Reelow delivers an hour of moody tech-fuelled power, including music from Seb Zito, Phil Kieran and Green Velvet, as well as a classic from the recently resurrected Music For Freaks imprint and unreleased material from Reelow himself.
