Fort Romeau's Cin Cin Records continues to go from strength-to-strength and for the label's 8th release the label has laid on a divine doubleheader from Melbourne's STATUE and Ara Koufax, and we're really excited to premiering Koufax's 'Natural States'.
Australian duo Ara Koufax (Luke Neher & Sam Gill) have been making club-facing house since 2014, introducing their new project with 'Brenda', which appeared on the Cut Copy-curated compilation 'Oceans Apart'.
The Australian duo are back with two new tracks on Fort Romeau's Cin Cin Records.
'Natural States' is a playful cut of psychedelic acid house, which features a smorgasbord of jittery stabs, thickly set kicks and plenty of gloopy basslines for you to really get lost in.
"When we were making ‘Natural States’, we kept laughing and asking each other “Is this a bit much?” and head-banging while recording all the parts. It’s a loving tribute to the intersection of Serious Club Music and the deliberately obnoxious," explains the duo to DJ Mag via email.
