Keeping up their nearly weekly release schedule, !Organism is back with three new cuts from Reckless Device, including a remix from Alexander Kowalski.
Reckless Device is a new project from Brian F, a Europe based South African who has hosted his own parties in Madeira before, runs his own label Shaping Music and has played key venues like Ministry of Sound. After a complicated few months he decided to start this new alias and let out all the feelings he has inside.
Opening the account is 'When God Meets Man', a deep, subliminal techno tune that starts with some heavenly chords before tearing away on a streamlined groove. The hi hats and hits are smooth and those chords return to bring a cerebral feel as you hurry along into the future.
Alexander Kowalski is remixing and is a German techno producer who elegantly fuses elements from classic Detroit and historical Berlin techno. He does that here with a supple and seductive version that is riddled with waif little synths and globular chords and all help to add flesh to the raw drums.
Closing out the trip is 'Xpektator', another mind bending piece with closely stacked kick drums, urgent siren like synths and busy pads all warped round each other.
This is a beautifully brutal EP designed to get whole clubs pounding the floor.
