The next essential outing from Swiss techno dons !Organism comes from London born Jason Fernandes, with a remix from Robert S.
Self taught DJ and producer Fernandes likes to soundtrack fictitious realities with his techno. It comes on Drumcode and Intec amongst other top outlets, and is always richly layered and stormy. A deep thinker, Jason's tunes reflect that and with the brace he offers here, the Skyline Type Grooves label boss shows off his wide range of skills.
Kicking things off is the no nonsense 'Up The Hill', which has forceful hits hammering away over silky drums. There is tension and drama in the skewed synth stabs and releases of pressure come in the form of various piston whooshes that energise the track yet further. It's high octane, high class stuff.
Just as arresting is the excellent 'Sudden Downfall', which is a little deeper and more mysterious than the first track. Here fat synth stabs rock back and forth on their heels and remain unresolved as the rubber drums roll on down low. It's edgy and alluring and sure to make its mark.
Portuguese live performer Robert S then remixes this one into something tripped out and sped up. It's a sparse but textured tune that burrows deep into the night and locks you in the groove.
Once again this is high grade techno from !Organism.
