A new week means another new techno offering from the one and only !Organism label. The Swiss outfit has plenty of talent in its ranks and proof of that comes in the form of this new EP from Uakoz.
Uakoz is an Italian techno titan who's been building momentum for the last few years. He has released a couple fine EPs on Dopamine and Underscore and has picked up healthy support in the process. He has a fulsome main room sound that is impossible to ignore and excels on the two originals he serves up here.
It all kicks off with ‘What Goes Around,’ a deep and moody cut that is patient in the way it builds with a slithering bassline and lumpen drums. Subtle effects, reverb and wet claps all punctuate groove and get you nodding and tapping in no time.
Tom Laws turns out two remixes o ‘What Goes Around’. The first is a spaced out ‘DeepDrive Mix’ that does just what it says on the tin with its supple drums and sparse atmospheres. The second version is a much more firmly rooted cut with earth shaking drums, neb-soul synths and lots of earthy textures.
Finally, ‘Punchline’ is a dark, jostling and post apocalyptic effort with hurried drums and never jailing synths spraying about like searchlights. It’s arresting and will standout whenever it is dropped.
This is another notable release amongst !Organisms ever more essential schedule.
