Keeping up their indefatigable rate of release, !Organism welcome back label regular Gene Karz for a great brace of tracks that come with a top remix from Miki Craven.
Karz hails from Belarus and started his career back in 2008. Since then he has released on this label as well as Binary404, Naked Lunch and Italo Business and has had his tunes played by the likes of Dubfire, Richie Hawtin and Paco Osuna amongst others.
The brilliant ‘Outburst’ gets things going in fine style with a rolling techno rhythm, haunting atmosphere and whip-lash like synth sounds. It is a wide open track that traps you right at the centre, and with its many subtle filters and effects, manages to shape shift masterfully throughout the duration.
Remixing is Miki Craven, a Catalan DJ and producer who owns Dead Rose Records and is just as at home releasing on Kobayashi, Outpost, DancefloorKillers and more. Someone who can really create a great sense of power and energy in his cuts, he flips the original into a sublime bit of techno a la Jeff Mills. His lines are smooth and slick, his drums come from deep below the surface and the overall vibe is truly otherwordly.
Karz’s compelling ‘Time Flies’ is then an urgent affair with the sound of murmuring voices buried below space ship like synths, blasts of white noise and cantering drums that simply do not let up.
Main room techno enthusiasts will find plenty to love on this excellent new offering from !Organism.
