“Foolish” Life Sayings - The Greater Fools - Ep. 9
On this week’s episode, we’re talking about those occasionally confusing sayings that everyone uses (ie. the whole nine yards, slow and steady wins the race, don’t judge a book by its cover). Chris Gibbs, Mike Brazell, Adam Aldous, and Sam Wilkinson dig into these idioms to see if they actually make practical sense. It turns out that some of them make a bit of sense, but for the most part, we don’t recommend living by aphorisms because they frequently miss the point. If we leave you with anything though, have it be that people in glass houses should take the bird in hand instead of killing the two in the bush with one stone.
