Charges have been filed in Moab's 7th District Court against three men believed to be involved in last Sunday's homicide. Omar Guerro, aka "Martin Armento Verduzco Lopez" or "Irving Martin Verduzco Armento" has been charged with murder, a first degree felony. Jaime Flores-Solis and Jorge Hernandez-Ayala each face charges of obstructing justice, a second degree felony. Police believe the two men conspired to conceal Omar after the homicide. Hernandez-Ayala also faces a class A misdemeanor possession charge for methamphetamine.

Moab City Police Chief Jim Winder cautioned about any divisions in the community that could result from the incident. "This can be a time of real division and blame," Winder said. "…The heart of violence is substance abuse and poverty. There are circumstances that drive people to these terrible situations - let's focus on correcting those."
