Young climate activists gathered at the state capitol Monday to protest a Bureau of Land Management oil and gas leasing sale held this week. The federal agency sold 135,000 acres for leasing in Utah, bringing in roughly $7.2 million. Notably, the BLM deferred all parcels in San Juan County to a later sale, citing a need for “additional environmental review” in that area.
