The Day of the Dead Festival or Festival del Dia de Muertos is a deeply meaningful celebration of life, meant to honor the spirits of loved ones who have passed away. Some people say its a time when those spirits return to earth to visit the living. The Moab Valley Multicultural Center is celebrating Day of the Dead this Sunday, and as per tradition, community members can expect brightly decorated altars, traditional Latin cuisine, live mariachi, and folk art.
