The 8th annual Moab Pride Festival kicks off today with workshops, music and dancing. There are many events and performances, from workshops on book binding and songwriting, to a queer poetry slam, to the community visibility march and all-day celebration at Swanny City Park. It's a labor of love for Moab Pride's volunteers, who say they are passionate about creating queer visibility and safe spaces for LGBTQ youth, not only this weekend but throughout the year.
