Civic leaders from Moab, Park City, and St. George recently gave the Political Subdivisions Interim Committee a rundown of the many challenges facing resort communities. The committee heard about housing, infrastructure, and transportation – issues that are straining economic development in Utah’s tourism hubs. “We are a city of five thousand, and we are carrying capacities of three million – that’s the same population of the state of Utah,” city council member Karen Guzman-Newton told lawmakers. “We have serious work to catch up on.” Learn more on today’s news.
