Description

KZMU News heard the sound of silence at the entrance to Arches during the first weekend of its closure in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Vehicles, bikes, and pedestrians are now prohibited from entering any park areas at Arches and Canyonlands National Parks – that means campgrounds, trails, backcountry, and roads. Plus later in the news, the Navajo Nation initiates a curfew aimed to slow the spread of COVID-19 and protect critical healthcare resources. And, an interview with Andy Smith, director of Grand County EMS Special Service District about how their essential workforce is keeping the community safe during this health crisis.
