Grand County is testing all ATV-related rental and guiding businesses for noise ordinance compliance before the busy spring tourism season. Noise testing is part of a suite of requirements for ATV and UTV-related businesses that local government enacted last year. At a recent noise testing event, county staff interacted with owners and made recommendations on modifications that could make their vehicles quieter. Plus, a new report shows the impact of ‘speculative’ oil and gas leasing on wilderness areas. And, some Utahns are looking to save the threatened Great Salt Lake through art.
