*KZMU News Takeover* During the news this week, we’re hearing a three-part series from our radio partners, called ‘Cash Flows – How Investors Are Banking on the West’s Water Scarcity.’ It’s all about private investment in western water rights.

In the second installment, we have a story on a water rights fight in Arizona. Many cities around the West are on the hunt for water to fuel new growth. And it’s created a business opportunity for private investors, who buy up rural land with water rights, hoping to eventually sell those rights to thirsty cities. We journey to La Paz County, Arizona, where these tensions are playing out.
